Pradier, James (1790-1852) – Sappho At A Column

Sculpture in gilded and silvered bronze signed “J. Pradier” and dated “1848”. Bears the foundry stamp VP with crown for Victor Paillard. “Sappho at the Column” was first presented in 1848 at the Paris Salon.
