Description
Rare pair of Murano girandoles from ca. 1940 in colourless glass.
Its skeleton —the central shaft and the reversed dome — are made of aluminium. The base bearing the leaf arms, is hiding its three light points. This way of lighting accentuates the elegant design of the girandoles and creates a pleasing diffused light in space.
The girandoles are signed “Officina E. Bucella Murano”. Within the Murano repertoire, this design is modernistly elegant given its rather neat longitudinal and repetitive curled lines.
